Diana Lynn Hoke, 60, of Argos

Diana Lynn Hoke, 60, died unexpectedly in her Argos home on June 10th, 2026.  She was born in Plymouth, Indiana, and was adopted by Lyle and Lorraine Hoke in August 1965.  She was a beloved daughter, sister, cousin, and friend.  Anyone who knew her would agree that she found the most joy in being a mother to her daughter, Sarah.

Diana had a curious mind.  She loved animals, antiques, baking, crafting, and laughing along to British sitcoms.  Her childhood best friend describes her as “a rebel with a heart of gold”.  While she mostly kept to herself over the last few years, she still had her way of bringing some sunshine to those who remained close to her.  Her sense of humor and mischievous smile will be dearly missed.

Diana was preceded in death by her biological mother, her infant son, Evan, her adoptive parents, and her faithful canine companion, Lily.  She is survived by her brother, Steven (Gail) Hoke of Plymouth; former husbands Michael Rakich and Rodger Walker; and daughter, Sarah (Derek) Petty of Noblesville.

Private services will be held by the family at a later date.  Palmer Funeral Home – Plymouth Chapel is honored to be assisting the family with final arrangements.

Memorial contributions can be made in Diana’s honor to the Marshall County Humane Society, 11165 13th Rd. Plymouth, IN 46563.
