A woman was arrested after law enforcement was able to track the vehicle she has been charged with stealing.
About 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, the Parke County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a vehicle stolen from a driveway on N. Wildwood Trail. A deputy responded and was told by the owner of the 2015 Jeep Wrangler that airpods were left in the vehicle and they showed the location of the vehicle at a gas station in Clinton.
The vehicle was found by Clinton Police still running at the gas station. The Vermillion County Sheriff’s Office and Clinton Police made contact with a Gwendolyn Zebrowski, 49, of West Terre Haute. Zebrowski left her boots and purse in the Jeep along with a garage door opener to the house from which it was taken.
The Parke County Sheriff’s Office says Zebrownski resisted law enforcement at the scene before being taken to the Parke County Jail. She was initially charged with auto theft and resisting arrest.
