An officer with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department arrested a Warsaw man on Wednesday, September 18th, for driving without a license.
At about 5:54 in the afternoon, Officer Wozniak initiated a traffic stop on a black 2008 GMC Yukon on U.S. 30 near Hawthorn Road. During the stop, it was found that the driver, Sergio Gomez Hernandez, 47, was operating a vehicle without ever receiving a driver's license.
Hernandez was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked for operating without obtaining a license. He posted the cash bond and bonded out an hour later.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
