Emergency responders in Marshall County were dispatched to a semi-truck struck by a train Monday morning.
The accident happened on Linden Road between Dewey Street and State Road 10 west of Argos.
The semi was totaled with debris being strewn along the tracks, but the driver was not injured because he was able to exit the truck before being hit by the train.
The Indiana Department of Environmental Management contacted Marshall County EMA Director Jack Garner who was on the scene to check for the need for assistance.
While rail traffic is back to normal, Linden Road will be closed for at least 24 hours.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department is expected to release additional details about the crash on Tuesday.
