Karen L. (Wojcik) Gibbons, 56, of Plymouth, Indiana, passed away on September 25, 2026, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. She was born on December 26, 1969, to the late, Aloysius Wojcik and Rita (Falkowski) Wojcik in Plymouth, and lived a life marked by love, devotion, and a spirited personality that touched the hearts of many.
Karen was a proud graduate of Plymouth High School, Class of 1988. Following her education, she worked at Zentis in Plymouth, where she served as a supervisor and was respected for her dedication and strong work ethic. She approached her responsibilities with care and determination, and those who worked with her knew her as someone who could be counted on.
Family was at the center of Karen’s life. She especially loved spending time with her son, Quentin Davis, who brought great joy to her life. She is survived by her son, Quentin Davis; her sisters, Beverly (Jeff) Lawson, Joyce (Mike) Poskin, and Erica Borys; her brothers, Mark (Theresa) Wojcik, David (Ann) Wojcik, and Gary (Suzie) Wojcik; and many nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory. She was preceded in death by her father, Aloysius Wojcik, and her mother, Rita (Falkowski) Wojcik.
Karen had a warm and distinctive personality and enjoyed the simple pleasures that made life special. She loved to garden, which was her favorite hobby, and took great pride in caring for her flowers and plants. She also enjoyed shopping and had a special fondness for Snoopy and Charlie Brown. A devoted sports fan, she loved cheering on the Chicago Cubs, Notre Dame, and the Indianapolis Colts. She especially enjoyed her Jeep and riding in convertibles, and she had a style all her own. Karen loved fashion and made sure everything matched, from her outfits to her accessories. Her attention to detail and sense of style were part of what made her so memorable.
Karen also had a deep love for animals, especially her beloved dog, Scout. Her affection for her pets reflected the kindness and tenderness she carried throughout her life. She will be remembered for her loving heart, her strong spirit, and the joy she brought to those around her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A time to visit with the family will be on Thursday, October 1st, 2026, from 4-7 p.m. at Palmer Funeral Home – Plymouth Chapel, 300 W. Madison St. Plymouth, IN 46563. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 2nd, 2026, with one hour of visitation prior at St Michael Catholic Church, 612 N. Walnut St. Plymouth, IN 46563. Procession to Oak Hill cemetery in Plymouth will immediately follow for a graveside service.
