Suspicious woman at Taco Bell arrested for driving while intoxicated

The call of a suspicious person at Taco Bell sent officers from the Plymouth Police Department to the restaurant Tuesday.

Officers with the Plymouth Police Department were dispatched at 8:26 p.m. Tuesday, to 1827 North Michigan Street, Taco Bell, for a female who had driven there with children and appeared to be intoxicated.

Officer Fisher arrived and located the suspicious female, identified as Monica Farmer, 43 years old, of East North Street in Bourbon. The officer talked with the female and determined that she had been drinking.

Field sobriety testing was done, and Farmer was given a certified blood test. The results came back with a Blood Alcohol Content of .93.

Monica Farmer was transported to Marshall County Jail and booked in for driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated endangerment. She was held on a $1,500 cash bond.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
