Deputies from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call Thursday afternoon, just before five, regarding a male who drove a vehicle into an outbuilding on his property.
The Sheriff's Department received a call about an intoxicated male driving on his property at 20339 7th Road.
Marshall County Deputies responded and found 50-year-old Jeffery E. Samules. He appeared to be pouring gasoline into the cab of the truck, apparently intending to set the vehicle on fire.
Officers confronted Samules, and he was detained at the scene without incident. During the investigation, Samuels was found to be intoxicated and having operated a motor vehicle. He was arrested and lodged in the Marshall County Jail for operating while intoxicated - endangering and operating while intoxicated – with a BAC at or above 0.15%. He was held on a $1,500 cash bond.
