Update: Sanderson was taken into custody just after 12:30 p.m. today. The "Shelter in Place" advisory has been lifted.
The Fulton County Sheriff’s Department has asked residents around the McCarty Lane and Olson Road area, which includes the Rochester School District, to "shelter in place" as the search continues for a 25-year-old man.
The Sheriff's Department is searching for Christian Sanderson, approximately five feet, nine inches tall and 130 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen near the McCarty Lane/Olson Road area at approximately 6 a.m.

Sanderson (photo) is considered armed and dangerous. If you observe someone matching this description, call 911 immediately and provide your location and any relevant information.
Do not approach or attempt to contact Sanderson.
With this designation, according to Rochester Superintendent Jana Vance, School Resource Officer Rick Utter and members of the Rochester administrative team remain in constant contact with local law enforcement to ensure best-informed decisions happen regarding safety of students and staff.
At this time, school and activities are continuing as normal. As the situation unfolds with law enforcement, any needed changes based on their recommendations will be made.
