The Plymouth Community School Corporation made several significant administrative appointments during Tuesday evening's school board meeting, filling key leadership roles across multiple buildings.
Superintendent Dr. Pamela Campbell announced that Elizabeth Miller has been named Principal of Webster Elementary School. Miller, who has been with the corporation for several years, was praised for the impact she has made on students throughout her tenure. "I'm excited and looking forward to working with the wonderful staff as principal," Miller said.
Campbell also announced that Mindi Blosser will serve as the new Principal of Menominee Elementary School, replacing Ryan Welch, who is moving into a new role. Blosser previously served as principal at Jefferson Elementary School and described the appointment as a homecoming. "I'm going home," she said. "Menominee is where I started, and I'm so thankful for the opportunity to follow in Ryan's footsteps."
Plymouth High School Assistant Principal Josh Dingeldein introduced two additional appointments. Kevin Garrity as the new Dean of Students at Plymouth High School. Garrity has been teaching Humanities/Social Studies at Lincoln Junior High while also serving as an assistant football coach at PHS. Dingeldein said Garrity received a unanimous vote from the selection committee. "They were especially impressed with his self-reflection, his hunger, and his desire to grow," Dingeldein said, adding that the committee believed Garrity would be a strong asset in achieving the school's academic and building-wide goals.
Dingeldein also presented Ryan Welch as the new Athletic Director for Plymouth High School, a selection that was also unanimous. "The committee was super impressed with his passion, his drive, and his dedication to helping Plymouth High School athletics be the absolute best it can be," Dingeldein said, noting that Welch's integrity, accomplishments as a former PHS athlete, experience as a building principal, and love of athletics position him to be an exceptional leader.
Welch spoke passionately about the opportunity. "Being a Plymouth athlete helped shape me as a young man, as a teacher, as a leader, and probably most importantly as a parent," he said. "I do believe the lights at Plymouth High School are still shining bright, and I look forward to continuing the proud tradition of our athletic programs, competing at the top of the NLC, and being regular contenders in state tournament play."
