City Officer arrests Mishawaka man for driving without a license after traffic stop in Plymouth

A Mishawaka man was taken into custody early Wednesday morning after a traffic stop revealed he was operating a vehicle without ever having obtained a valid driver's license.

According to the Plymouth Police Department, Patrolman Witkowski conducted a traffic stop at approximately 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 9th, at the intersection of Hoham Drive and Western Avenue. The vehicle was stopped for disregarding a traffic signal.

The driver, identified as Francisco Figueroa Martinez, 26, of Mishawaka, was found to be operating the vehicle without ever having obtained a valid driver's license.

Figueroa Martinez was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail, where he was booked for operating a vehicle without a valid driver's license.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
