A Plymouth man was arrested in the early morning hours of Wednesday, June 3rd, after a Marshall County Deputy discovered his vehicle off the roadway with a flat tire — and determined the driver's blood alcohol level was more than three times the legal limit.
At approximately 1:31 a.m., Deputy Wozniak of the Marshall County Sheriff's Department observed a black 2021 Honda passenger car on Michigan Road north of 4th Road that appeared to have been involved in a collision. Making contact with the driver, Mason P. Waksmulski, 22, of Plymouth, the deputy determined he had driven his vehicle off the roadway, causing a flat tire, and showed signs of alcohol impairment.
Field sobriety testing was conducted at the scene. A subsequent certified blood draw revealed Waksmulski's blood alcohol content to be over three times the legal limit. He was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked on charges of operating a vehicle with a BAC of .15 or more and operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangering. A bond of $1,500 was set.
Marshall County Police and Tim's Towing also responded to the scene.
