Plymouth High School has officially named Brent Corbett its full-time head football coach, continuing his leadership of the Rockies football program following his service as interim head coach this past season.
A 2007 graduate of Plymouth High School and a longtime assistant coach within the Rockies football program, Corbett brings a deep connection to Plymouth, a passion for developing student-athletes, and a strong commitment to building a competitive football program. After leading the Rockies as interim head coach this past season, Corbett is eager to continue moving the program forward.
I am honored and grateful for the opportunity to serve as the full-time head football coach at Plymouth High School,” Corbett said. “I want to thank our administration for their trust and belief in me to lead this program. Our players, coaches, families, and community make Rockies football special, and I’m excited to continue building something they can be proud of. We will emphasize accountability, toughness, and respect while helping our student-athletes grow as players and young men. There is work ahead, and I look forward to getting after it together. Go Rockies!”
Plymouth High School Athletic Director Ryan Welch expressed confidence in Corbett’s leadership, experience, and vision for the future of the program. “Brent is a passionate, fiery competitor who embodies the qualities we value in the coaches and mentors who lead our student-athletes at Plymouth High School. Throughout this past season, I had the opportunity to see firsthand the standard of competitiveness, accountability, and passion he brought to our football program. His commitment to teaching, developing relationships, and challenging our young men to be their best was evident every day,” Welch said. “While our results on the field were not where we wanted them to be, I have tremendous confidence in Brent’s ability to build a program rooted in toughness, discipline, and pride. He understands what it means to wear the red and white, and I believe his leadership will put the Rockies in a position to compete for NLC and sectional championships in the years ahead.”
With Corbett officially at the helm, Plymouth Football looks forward to continuing to build a program that reflects the pride, tradition, and competitive spirit of the Rockies community.
