On Thursday, March 23rd (2023) at 4:38 in the afternoon, the Marshall County 911 Dispatch Center dispatched the Plymouth Police Department to the area of Western Avenue and Hoham Drive in reference to a child attempting to get away from a subject.
Dispatch advised officers that it was an unknown situation.
Corporal Richey arrived in the area and located a silver 2004 Chevrolet passenger car sitting on the west side of Western Avenue in the area just south of Hoham Drive. Believing that the passenger car was possibly involved in the case, the officer pulled in behind the vehicle to investigate the situation.
The vehicle fled south on Western Avenue and through the Kroger parking lot. After a short vehicle pursuit, 27-year-old Laura L. Peddicord of North Judson was arrested for Resisting Law Enforcement and Driving While Suspended with a Prior Conviction.
Peddicord also had an active Warrant through Marshall County for a probation violation. She was transported to the Marshall County Jail and held on a $1,500 cash bond.

They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
