As the nation looks ahead to its semiquincentennial, the Marshall County Historical Society has announced the second installment of its "America’s 250 Brown Bag Lunch & Lecture" series, focusing on the Revolutionary War era.

The upcoming event will take place on Friday, April 10, from noon to 1 p.m. at the Marshall County Historical Society & Museum, located at 123 North Michigan Street in downtown Plymouth.

Local attorney Nelson “Nathaniel” Chipman will be the featured speaker for the afternoon. Chipman will lead an in-depth discussion exploring the pivotal events that shaped the American fight for independence in the years leading up to the historic declaration on July 4, 1776.

Community members are invited to pack a lunch and enjoy an hour of historical education and engaging conversation.
