The Lawrence County Highway Department has informed GIANT-FM WAKO News that there will be a road closure starting next week as part of a bridge construction project.
Collins Lane (CR 500N) will be shut down to vehicular traffic starting Monday, March 23rd from Illinois Route 1 east to Denison Road (CR 1290E) in Denison Township in southern Lawrence County to allow for the work to be done.
Motorists and residents in that affected area are advised that the road is anticipated to be closed for a 3-month period until completion, pending weather conditions.
