A LaPaz man was arrested Wednesday afternoon after being found intoxicated inside a Marshall County courtroom.
Corporal Ben McIntyre with the Plymouth Police Department was dispatched to the Superior Court II courtroom on Wednesday, February 4th, at 1:30 p.m. in response to a report of an intoxicated subject.
Upon arrival, officers found Brian Braden, 49, of Creek Side Trailer Park in LaPaz, in an intoxicated state.
Braden was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked on a charge of public intoxication. He is being held on a $250 cash bond.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. Those charged are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
