Step by step. Sometimes agonizingly, but Greencastle infrastructure construction continues with the City of Greencastle posting on its Facebook page that the sanitary sewer, storm sewer west of Locust to Vine Street, and bypass pumping are all complete. Now, Jackson Street will be closed from Franklin to Elizabeth, as work is completed a few blocks at a time, with some winter work taking place to keep cross traffic areas open for local businesses and pedestrians. There will also be a local detour on Frazier Street to Madison Street, with traffic being advised to use an alternate route. The entire Greencastle project is expected to be complete by the end of 2025, with a public meeting expected to take place in February or March.
