The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has announced an egg recall is underway for 9 states including Illinois. It was issued due to more than 65 cases of salmonella were reported. The Wisconsin-based company Milo's Poultry Farms is recalling all its eggs branded "Milo's Poultry Farms" and "Tony's Fresh Market". Up to two dozen people have been sickened and hospitalized in the last week. However, there have been no deaths. Consumers who purchased the eggs should not eat or cook them and either dispose of them or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
