Plymouth's Randolph Street Bridge was closed October 18 after engineers decided it was unsafe for vehicular traffic.

The bridge was initially scheduled to be replaced in 2025 after the Blueberry Festival. During Monday's Marshall County Commissioner’s meeting, Highway Superintendent Jason Peters said LaPorte Construction was willing to move the project up. LaPorte Construction is planning to demolish and begin reconstructing the new bridge in December or January.

Bridge # 232 crosses the Yellow River in Centennial Park, between Baker Street and Plymouth Goshen Trail.

The bridge replacement project will improve the bridge and remove the load limitation. The new bridge will include two 12-foot travel lanes, shoulders, a pedestrian and bicycle path, and lights.
