Officials from the Chevron Environmental Management Company were in Lawrenceville Monday. They hosted the annual former Texaco Refinery open house and tour at Wishnick Park in southern Lawrenceville. The company holds the affair each year to allow local residents to take guided tours of the refinery property and discuss some of the remediation work being done to cleanup the site. Jeff Moore, who is public affairs advisor for the company told WAKO News that in April, a feasibility study was approved by the E.P.A. which will be released to the public locally in the near future outlining exact what type of work is to be done and the plan for executing the cleanup. Exactly when the study will be released is uncertain.
