Two people were taken to the hospital via medical helicopter after a crash in Miami County Monday morning.
The Grissom Air Reserve Base Fire Department was first at the scene of the crash involving a semi and pickup truck just before 7 a.m. on U.S. Highway 31 northbound near County Road 850 South. The initial report indicates that a Dodge Ram truck sustained heavy front-end damage during the crash.
Crews from the Grissom Air Reserve Base Fire Department and Pipe Creek Township Volunteer Fire Department extricated two people from the pickup. They were flown to medical treatment.
No definitive information has been released explaining what caused the crash.
