A Rochester man confronted about conversations with a 13-year-old decoy was taken into custody Saturday night outside Oakwood Apartments, 433 E. 18th St.
Travis C. Grubbs, 35, 117 W. Sixth St., Rochester, is preliminarily charged with inappropriate conversation with a child and resisting law enforcement. His arrest, with use of physical force by city police, was livestreamed by Bikers Against Predators, a group of citizens working to expose online child predators.
The group reportedly confronted Grubbs over sexually explicit messages he sent to someone he believed was 13 years old. A call was made to police after he got angry and raised his voice during the confrontation.
Grubbs was later released on his own recognizance.
