Five high school seniors who will be entering their freshman year of college this fall have been selected to receive a scholarship from the Beacon Scholarship Program for $2,500.
There was a total of 111 applications for this year’s program. After four stages of grading, judges selected the five essays that not only answered the essay questions thoroughly and uniquely, but also exhibited a strong grammatical foundation.
The five recipients of the 2025 Beacon Scholarship Program are:
Madelynn Sprow – Caston High School
Marissa Rowe – DeKalb High School
Claire Templin – Oak Hill High School
Cora Burns – Caston High School
Ayla Cashdollar – Manchester Junior/Senior High School
"As we congratulate these five students who are receiving the scholarship, we also wish them the best as they embark on their new academic and life journey," a company shared in a press release.
