LaVille softball players selected to NFCA all scholar region list LOUISVILLE – Several LaVille softball players have been acknowledged by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) for their work in the classroom. Lady Lancers Jessica Bickel, Sydney Coblentz, Abigail Goffinet, Hannah Good, Jamie Havera, Allison Medors, Allison Thomas, and Alexis Wilfing. The NFCA recognizes student-athletes who achieve a 3.5 or better GPA on a 4.0 scale are recognized as NFCA Scholar Athletes. The NFCA recognizes the top 10 academic teams (by overall GPA) each fall through the Easton/NFCA Top 10 Academic Team program. Indiana is part of an 9-state region that includes Illinois, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Michigan, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. The NFCA recognizes five regions nationally – East, North, South, South Central, and West.
