Delaney Ledbetter and Hudson Meek are heading to the state wrestling finals.
Both Lawrence County grapplers qualified with third place finishes in their respective weight classes in individual sectional competition this past weekend.
Ledbetter won a match over an opponent from Bethalto (Civic Memorial) to win third at 115 pounds at the Class 1A Girls Sectional at Highland and improve to 25-9.
She will next wrestle in the 1A Girls State Tournament starting Friday, February 28th at Grossinger Motors Arena in Bloomington.
Meek defeated a Fithian (Oakwood) opponent to capture third in the 144 pound class in the Class 1A Boys Sectional at Carterville.
He is now 36-10 and will move on to the Class 1A Boys State Tournament starting this Thursday, February 20th at the State Farm Center in Champaign.
