Shelbyville High School senior Addison Stieneker has been named the Beth Prince State Farm Athlete of the Week.
Stieneker helped the Shelbyville softball team finish 3-0 last week with three Hoosier Heritage Conference wins. The Golden Bears outscored their opponents 35-8.
Stieneker, who will continue her softball career at Marshall University, hit one home run in each win. In the three games combined, she finished with five hits, five runs scored, six RBIs and two doubles.
For the season, Stieneker has a team-leading .513 batting average. She also leads the team with 20 hits, 17 RBI, 16 runs scored, nine doubles, two triples and three home runs.
