Shelbyville senior Ava Wilson has been selected to play in the Hoosier Basketball Coaches Association’s Annual All-Star Classic on April 7 at Washington High School.
Wilson averaged a team-leading 20.5 points, 1.9 assists and 3.8 steals per game for a 15-win Golden Bears team.
The fourth-leading scorer in Shelbyville girls basketball history, Wilson was selected to the East team.
Also on the East roster for the all-star game are Greensburg’s Carlee Adams, Seymour’s Journee Brown, Jennings County’s Alivia Elmore and Juliann Woodard, Indian Creek’s Lauren Foster and Faith Wiseman, Scottsburg’s Carrie Hiler, Jac-Cen-Del’s Reagan Hughes, New Washington’s Kaidin James, Lanesville’s Ava Kerr, Franklin County’s Nicole Mears, and Charlestown’s Maddie Nipper.
Named a West All-Star were Linton-Stockton’s Bradie Chambers, Washington’s Hayleigh Cummins, Vincennes Lincoln’s Arianna Gerkin, Gibson Southern’s Chloey Graham, Mooresville’s Rachel Harshman, Evansville Memorial’s Sophie Johnson and Avery Kelley, Southridge’s Maddux Marshall, Evansville North’s Vanessa Nankwenya, Castle’s Aleyna Quinn, Princeton’s Lexi Smith and Azaryon Wesley, and Evansville Central’s Mimi White.
