Triton Central High School junior guard Eli Sego has been named the Beth Prince State Farm Athlete of the Week.
Sego and the Tigers fell to University, 44-43, in a Class 2A regional championship game Saturday at Lebanon High School.
Despite the loss, the junior had a memorable fourth quarter as he knocked down four 3-pointers in the final eight minutes of the game.
Sego finished with a season-high 30 points, 16 coming in the final quarter. He was 10-of-15 from the field and made six 3s.
In three seasons with the Tigers, Sego has amassed 1,093 career points which puts him fourth on the program’s career scoring list.
Triton Central finished the season with a 16-10 record. The Tigers won county and sectional titles.
