Plymouth used a 23-point second quarter to put away Goshen in Friday's Northern Lakes Conference football matchup.
Tied 7-7 after the first 12 minutes the Rockies outscored Goshen 23-0 in the second quarter to lead 30-7 at halftime. A 14-0 third quarter provided the final margin, 44-7.
Senior Finn Hollom rushed for 147 yards and touchdowns of 15, 3 and 3 yards.
Plymouth quarterback Ben Shively was an efficient 5-of-7 passing for 66 yards and a short touchdown pass to Grady Medsker. Shively also rushed for two scores.
Dominick Vasquez added to the Rockies scoring with a second quarter safety.
Carlos Carillo was 6-of-6 on extra point kicks.
"We were very pleased with the outcome of the game last night! We challenged them to set the tone early and we did that going into halftime up 30-7. We were able to execute the ground game extremely well last night and that was the difference in the game," said head coach Adam Handley.
Goshen (1-3, 0-2 NLC) will travel to Mishawaka next week.
Plymouth (2-2, 2-0 NLC) is one of three teams still unbeaten in conference play with Mishawaka and Warsaw. The Rockies will travel to Wawasee next week. Wawasee (1-3, 0-2 NLC) lost to Warsaw Friday, 41-7.
