Red Storm track places at state meet TERRE HAUTE — The Lincoln Red Storm track team competed against the best in the state at the Indiana Middle School State Meet in Terre Haute. There were teams 159 and over 1,200 athletes in competition at the second annual track and field championships, Lincoln’s Ashton Artrip qualified and competed in both hurdle races. On the day, he placed seventh in the 200m hurdles earning a spot on the medal stand and also earned a 13th place finish in the 110m hurdles after winning his prelim race earlier in the day. Easton Strain competed in both jump events as he placed eighth in the high jump securing a spot on the medal stand. Strain also finished 23rd in the long jump. Nolan Bales finished 11th in the state in the 1600m with a season best time of 5:00.02 finishing second in his heat. Trey Hall finished 22nd in the state with a personal best of 5:17.10. Coby Walters finished 28th in the race. The 4x400m relay team raced in the final event of the day and finished 19th in a stacked field. Overall, Lincoln earned 3 points at the state meet finishing in a tie for 44th overall. Other Lincoln athletes that qualified but did not compete for the State meet event were Jadyn Beran, Lucy Keirn, Brighton Bird, Amaya Ameling, Taylor Delp, Jacob Preece, Jaxson Warner, Keith Theilmann, Treyvon O'Leary and Dillon Davidson.
