Triton Central tennis improved to 14-1 Wednesday with a 4-1 win over Covenant Christian.
The Tigers won both doubles matches and added wins from Tucker Hutchinson and Janssen Capps in singles matches.
At No. 1 doubles, Connor Evans and Max Crouse pushed their record to 16-2 this season with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Isaac Crane and Mark Crane.
Brayden Hoover and Caleb McGuire improved to 15-1 with a 6-2, 6-3 win over John Bird and Nolan Guzman at No. 2 doubles.
Capps secured a 6-0, 6-2 win over Zach Malek at No. 2 singles. Capps is 16-1 this season.
Hutchinson had the toughest battle at No. 1 singles. He needed three sets to defeat Max Carter, 6-7 (4), 7-5, 11-9. Hutchinson is 15-3 this season.
Covenant Christian’s only win came at No. 3 singles where Brandon Hilliard topped Drayton Kermode, 6-3, 6-2.
Triton Central got junior varsity wins from Bradyn Robinson and the doubles pairings of Wyatt Fisher and Graham Gast, and Colten Ayres and Derreck Uhls..

Kyle Beck needed more than three hours to win his No. 1 singles match and complete the sweep for the Spartans.
Volleyball
Triton Central def. Speedway, 22-25, 19-25, 25-22, 25-23, 17-15
At Speedway, the Tigers lost the first two sets but rallied to win the fifth set in extended time to secure the Indiana Crossroads Conference victory.
With the win, Triton Central (11-6) remained in second place in the ICC standings with a 4-1 mark. Indianapolis Scecina (14-3) leads the conference with a 4-0 record.
Speedway (7-5, 1-2 ICC) was led by Mallory Short’s 23 kills. Hayli Clampitt finished with 18 kills. Peyton Ridge had eight service aces and 39 digs.
