Shelbyville baseball maintained its one-game lead atop the Hoosier Heritage Conference standings with an 11-4 win Monday at New Castle.
The Golden Bears scored four runs in the third inning break a scoreless tie and added four more runs in the fifth to build an 8-0 lead.
Austin Martzall and Reece Prickett each had three hits to lead Shelbyville (14-3, 9-2 HHC). Gavin Reed had two hits and drove in three runs.
Prickett earned the win on the mound, pitching four scoreless innings and striking out four. Reed pitched two innings before Luke Coomes closed out the seventh inning.
Carson Bell had three hits for New Castle (5-13, 1-9 HHC), who will travel to Shelbyville today to complete the HHC series.

Shenandoah 5, Triton Central 4, 8 innings
At Shenandoah, the Raiders scored four runs in the final three innings to defeat the Tigers in a rematch of a 2025 regional championship game in Madison.
Chase Osenbaugh and Drew Fredenburg each had three hits for Shenandoah (14-5). Jarrett Helman had two hits and three RBIs.
Bo West had two hits, scored a run, and drove in a run for Triton Central (6-11).
Janssen Capps went the distance on the mound and took the loss.
Triton Central hosts Rushville (7-11) today.
Boys golf
New Castle 165, Greenfield-Central 170, Shelbyville 171
Logan Tobian and Logan Reinhart each shot 40 to lead the Golden Bears.
Carter Dunagan followed at 45 and Ethan Hughes posted a 46.
Softball
Eastern Hancock 21, Shelbyville 15
At Shelbyville, the Royals scored 10 runs in the fifth inning and held the Golden Bears scoreless over the final three innings to improve to 12-4.
Louisville commit Addisyn Trackwell had three extra-base hits, scored three runs and drove in five. Adalyn Willis and Lilli Ringer each matched Trackwell with four hits.
Addison Wooten had three hits and four RBIs. Julie Garrison had a double and three RBIs.
Shelbyville hosts Class 3A, No. 10 Indian Creek (18-5) Thursday.
Mooresville Christian 9, Morristown 1
At Morristown, Vanessa McGlothlin had three doubles and four RBIs in the win over the host Yellow Jackets (6-9).
Breeze Hinchman pitched a complete game, allowing four hits and two walks to improve the Eagles to 3-5.
Abby Hawk allowed 10 hits and all nine runs (only three earned). She struck out 10 in the loss.
Morristown is at Waldron Thursday.
Herron 23, Waldron 10
At Waldron, Herron took a quick 5-0 lead then scored nine runs in the second inning to build a commanding lead.
Alexandra Zacarias led the Achaeans (6-8) with three hits. Jordyn Ault had two hits, including a double, scored four runs and added two RBIs.
Waldron lost its ninth straight to fall to 5-10.
The Mohawks host Morristown Thursday.
Triton Central 17, Rushville 11
At Rushville, the Tigers scored four runs in the sixth and two in the seventh to defeat the Lions (5-13).
Gabriella Hixson drove in five runs, three on sacrifice flies, to lead Triton Central (11-7). Hailey Cooper and Makinah Noel each had three hits. Kimiko Keith drove in four runs.
Triton Central hosts Greenwood (15-3) Thursday.

Triton Central 5, Oldenburg Academy 0
At Triton Central, the Tigers won all five matches in straight sets on Senior Night in Fairland.
At No. 1 singles, Maryrose Felling defeated Lilly Vanderpohl, 6-2, 6-2.
Anniston Evans cruised to a 6-1, 6-1 win over Frankie Fry at No. 2 singles.
Zhibek Zhumaly secured a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles over Mary Kara Wanstrath.
At No. 1 doubles, Kate Collier and Neve Kahler defeated Ashley Hunter and Hailey Hoffman, 6-4, 6-3.
Estelle Gearlds and Cadence Roberts collected a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 2 doubles over Ali Nobbe and Campbell Miles.
Eastern Hancock 3, Waldron 2
At Waldron, The Mohawks’ only seniors, Emerson Lindsey and Jackie Corlett, improved to 14-0 this season with a 1-6, 6-1, 6-2 win over Sophie Hardin and Bristol Maxwell at No. 1 doubles on Senior Night.
Waldron’s only other match win came at No. 2 doubles where Malia Murphy and Hannah Rouse defeated Megan Fox and Caroline Clark, 6-1, 1-6, 6-2.
Eastern Hancock swept all three singles matches, only losing six games total to the Mohawks.

Triton Central 78, Eastern Hancock 43
At Eastern Hancock, Triton Central won nine individual events and all three relay races to defeat the Royals.
Individual event winners for Triton Central were Braden Brown (11.44 in 100. 5-8 in high jump), Landon Slone (24.14 in 200), Liam Thompson (55.44 in 400), Hudson Reichanadter (5:09 in 1,600), Bradyn Robinson (12:21 in 3,200), Tevian Faulkner (15.94 in 110 hurdles, 48.21 in 300 hurdles) and Nick Tormoehlen (18-7.5 in long jump).
Judea Holt, David Gorth, Slone and Brown crossed the finish line first in the 400 relay in 44.96.
Matthew Bibb, Knox Coen, Reichanadter and Nolan Thompson won the 1,600 relay in 3:58.71.
The quarter to Robinson, Evan Mitchell, Liam Thompson and Reichanadter won the 3,200 relay in 9:31.35.

Hoosier Heritage Conference Meet
New Palestine 100, Mt. Vernon 99.5, Pendleton Heights 99, Delta 98, Greenfield-Central 73.5, Yorktown 73, Shelbyville 59, New Castle 21
At Mt. Vernon, Shelbyville’s Sonora O’Connor was crowned conference champion in the 300 hurdles. She won the event in 46.71. O’Connor also finished fourth in the 100 hurdles (16.6), fifth in the 200 (27.77) and fifth in the long jump (16-8.25).
Jordyn Noe placed third in the high jump (4-10) and 100 hurdles (16.44) and seventh in the 300 hurdles (51.7).
Macey Robbins finished fifth in the 800 (2:25.03).
Robbins ran with America Leon, Alyna Castanon and Aerin Garcia-Santiago in the 3,200 relay and finished fourth in 10:34.74.
Mary O’Connor, Diana Gasca, Wuraola Ogunmoyela and Amara Lewis finished fourth in the 400 relay (51.57).
Triton Central 81, Eastern Hancock 38
At Eastern Hancock, the visiting Tigers won three field events, two relays and five more events on the track.
Farah Coen won the shot put (30-3) and discus (87-7). Isabella Ball won the high jump (4-10).
Other individual event winners were Layla Compton (13.07 in 100), Aubrie Propp (28.07 in 200, 1:05.76 in 400), Rylee Pruitt (7:14 in 1,600) and Ella Tupper (16:38 in 3,200).
Compton and Coen teamed with Kaylynn Tremblett and Ryn West to win the 400 relay in 52.9.
West, Ball, Compton and Propp won the 1,600 relay in 4:43.34.
