Waldron swept all three singles matches to score a season-opening victory Monday at Seymour.
The Mohawks defeated the Owls, 3-2, and needed a three-set win from Lucas Shaw at No. 2 singles to collect the victory.
Shaw lost the opening set to Seymour’s Carter Stein but rallied for a 1-6, 6-3, 7-5 win.
At No. 1 singles, Charlie Fischer defeated Parker Thompson, 6-1, 6-1. Jack Fischer bested Braylon Busby at No. 3 singles, 6-4, 7-6 (5).
Seymour’s No. 1 doubles team of Shun Takechui and Joel Stevens topped Waldron’s Cash Young and Jackson Kuhn, 7-5, 6-4.
At No. 2 doubles, Seymour’s Xavier Dubois and Dane Thompson defeated Matthew Thomas and Lincoln Fischer, 6-2, 6-2.

Triton Central 225, Edinburgh 256
At The Links, Triton Central’s Kennedy Hall carded a 47 to earn the medalist honor and lead the Tigers over the Lancers.
Also competing for Triton Central were Hanna Fink (59), Lindsay Huxford (59) and Jaylee Davis (60).
Macie Blanford led Edinburgh with a 49.
Girls soccer
Triton Central 5, Knightstown 0
At Triton Central, Elaina Maurice scored a pair of goals while Brynne Aukerman, Lilli Kegley and Ariel Walker combined for three more in the Tigers’ first win of the season.
Cheyenne Allen secured the shutout in goal to improve Triton Central to 1-1 this season.
Martinsville 8, Shelbyville 2
At Shelbyville, Ava Van Wye scored a pair of second-half goals to help the Golden Bears avoid the shutout in their season opener.
Addy Berry and Olivia Phillips each scored three goals to lead the Artesians (1-0).

Triton Central def. Whiteland, 25-10, 25-21, 25-15
At Triton Central, the host Tigers rolled past the Warriors in their season opener.
Triton Central also won the junior varsity match.
Herron def. Southwestern, 25-16, 25-18, 25-12
At Southwestern, the Spartans were unable to capture a set and lost in their home opener.
Herron also won the junior varsity match in three sets.
Indian Creek def. Waldron, 25-15, 25-11, 25-7
At Indian Creek, the Mohawks played with more confidence than in its season-opening loss at Greenfield-Central.
Indian Creek improved to 1-1 this season.
