Plymouth continues its road swing to start the girls basketball season with a trip to Mishawaka Marian tonight.
Plymouth (0-1) opened last Thursday with a 52-45 loss at New Prairie. Six of the team's first eight games are on the road.
Offensive rebounding was a challenge for the undersized Pilgrims. Head coach Micaela Schalliol says they must improve in that category as it’s going to be an issue against bigger opponents all season.
Junior Sophie Miller is one of those battling taller opponents down low. Miller scored eight points in the New Prairie loss. She also earned 12 free throw attempts in the contest.
Mishawaka Marian (0-2) is ranked 15th in this week’s 3A girls basketball poll. But the Knights have struggled in two games, losses to Bremen by 35 and Mishawaka by 21.
GIANT fm Sports WTCA will not have coverage tonight with election night coverage on the docket.
Our next broadcast will be Saturday when Plymouth travels to Michigan City. The junior varsity for that matchup is now scheduled for 11:30 a.m. EST. Broadcast time is approximately 12:30 p.m.
