It's on to the girls golf state tournament for Rochester's Molly Moore.
Moore led Rochester at Saturday's regional at Sandy Pines Golf Club with a 77, just one stroke from medalist honors. Moore tied for second overall with Hannah Ingersoll of Munster. Both were one stroke back of the 76 carded by Kennedy Gutierrez of Valparaiso.
Moore will join Gutierrez as an individual advancing without a team as Rochester finished ninth in the 15-team field. Alexis Haughs scored a 99 for the Zebras in their regional appearance.
Lake Central won the event with a 342 followed by Chesterton with 345 and Munster with a 349.
The finals will be held at Battle Ground Golf Club, 5505 Pretty Prairie Road, Battle Ground, IN. First tee times both days are scheduled for 8:30 am ET.
