The Parkview Softball Lady Braves have their first win of the new season. They traveled to Newton Tuesday August 13th and won by a score of 9-7. The squad scored 9 runs on 17 hits on the day. Alix Garza had three of those hits while Brina Opat,Taygan Rotman, Becca Gress and Reagan Ivers each had multiple hits. Ivers picked up the pitching win, allowing 7 runs on 13 hits over 7 innings with 6 walks and 6 strikeouts. The Lady Braves also stole 10 bases in the victory. Parkview is now 1-1 and will be back in action Wednesday when they travel to Leigh Ann Westall Field in Bridgeport to meet the 2-0 Red Hill Miss Salukis at 4:30 p.m. in a Lawrence County battle.
