Lady Lancers finish seventh at Penn sectional MISHAWAKA — The half point has been the dagger for the Lady Lancer track team this year. The Lancers traveled to Penn High School on Tuesday night for the 2019 Sectional finishing 7th overall missing out on a 6th place finish to Mishawaka Marian by half a point. The Lancers were able to compete very well racking up several top eight finalist ribbons and personal best. Kalista Lemberis made it out of the sectional in the 200M for the second year in a row and placed in her other three events (100M, 4x100, 4x400). Freshman, Madelyn Fuchs, thrived under the pressure and placed in all three of her events collecting a fifth place ribbon in both 300M hurdles and 4x400 and placed seventh in high jump. Natalie Gonzalez made it to the finals in the 100M dash with an eighth place finish and racked up two fifth place finishes as a member of the 4x100M & 4x400M relay team. Lemberis will travel to Warsaw on Tuesday, May 21 at 6 p.m. to compete in the Regional meet.
