Kokomo advanced to girls golf regional competition by winning the Western sectional at Chippedale Golf Course.
The Wildkats 390 team score outdistanced second place Western by 12 strokes.
Eastern (Greentown) tied Western's 402 but Western took the second place finish with a better fifth player score. Finishing in the top three, both teams will advance to the regional.
Averie Steiner carded a 90 for Kokomo with teammate Mia Drake a 92. They were fourth and fifth overall.
Peru's Piercey Dyer dominated to win individual medalist honors with a 73. Alisha Toops was 12 strokes back for second place. Maconaquah's Aubrey Stoll shot an 87. All three will advance to the regional as individual players.
