A rainy night in Elkhart ended with a road soccer loss for the Plymouth boys soccer team.
NLC foe Concord won the matchup 6-1 on a night when Plymouth dealt with injuries on top of the insult of the loss.
Plymouth stayed within a goal thru halftime, trailing 2-1 with senior Juan Ramirez opening the scoring for the Rockies. But Concord took control with four second half goals as Plymouth sustained injuries in the defense and had to operate with some Rockies players in positions they were not familiar with in order to plug the gaps from injury.
A bright note for the night was Plymouth junior Levi Hutchinson who received an exemplary report on the night for his sportsmanship and his role as captain as he positively urged his teammates on.
Plymouth will return to action on Thursday at home to face Elkhart at 7:00 p.m. The Rockies are also home Saturday at 11 a.m. to play Northridge.
