Waldron High School junior Grace Fischer has been named the Beth Prince State Farm Athlete of the Week.
Fischer had a stellar debut Saturday for the Mohawks after missing her entire sophomore season with a knee injury. She scored a game-high 28 points, including 13 points in the first quarter, in a 56-27 home win over Indianapolis Lutheran.
Fischer and the Mohawks (1-0) are back in action Tuesday at Shelbyville.
