Shelbyville senior Riley Everette was the only golfer to break 50 Thursday at Blue Bear Golf Course and she helped the Golden Bears defeat Mt. Vernon.
Everette (photo) carded a 48 to earn her first medalist honor of the season. She was followed on the Shelbyville scorecard by Sophia Asher (53), Julie Garrison (54) and Maddy Jones (54).
Shelbyville topped the Marauders 209-214.
Also playing for Shelbyville on its home course were Hana Stenger (58) and Maya Burgess (68).
Reesa Ibarra led Mt. Vernon with a 51. Also scoring for the Marauders were Liz Genrich (52), Katherine Wheeler (55) and Ellie Young (56).
