Eskridge resigns O-D basketball post HAMLET - Oregon-Davis Jr/Sr High School has announced the resignation of Boys Basketball coach Joe Eskridge. Coach Eskridge compiled a record of 53-47 in four seasons as the head coach of the Bobcats. His team captured the 2017 sectional title, and finished regional runner-up. The search for a replacement will begin immediately. "I am grateful to Coach Eskridge for his years of service as our coach,” said Oregon-Davis Athletic Director Chris Matthys. “His teams worked hard, and represented our school community in exemplary fashion under his guidance. He is a dedicated husband, father, teacher, and collegue, and I along with the rest of the OD administration wish him well. He will continue as an amazing, creative art teacher here at the school, so his influence and dedication will continue in that capacity.” “He leaves the basketball program in a very good place, and I expect the transition to a new hire will be smooth once a successful candidate is selected."
