Triton Central High School junior running back Braden Brown has been named the Beth Prince State Farm Athlete of the Week.
Brown had a monster performance Friday in TC's 37-6 Indiana Crossroads Conference win over Speedway. He rushed for 303 yards on 24 attempts -- a top-five performance in program history.
Brown finished the game with four touchdowns and had three scoring runs of at least 45 yards (long of 77).
“He has a game speed that is pretty impressive,” said TC head coach Tim Able.
With Friday's win, the Tigers (7-2, 6-1 ICC) ended in a three-way tie atop the ICC standings with Indianapolis Lutheran (8-1, 6-1) and Monrovia (7-2, 6-1). It is the first conference championship for TC since 2014.
