The postseason will continue for the Lawrenceville basketball Indians.
They jumped out on top early and built up a double digit lead enroute to a 57-41 win over the host Paris Tigers in the Paris Class 2A Regional Friday night.
The Tribe led 11-7 after one quarter and expanded the margin to 31-15 at the half.
Paris did mount a couple of challenges in the second half, but the Indians always responded with a big bucket to restore order.
The score after three quarters was 39-28 Lawrenceville before a final period spurt led to the 16 point victory.
Zander Cessna led three in double figures with 16 points, Noah Wilson 15 and Maddox Pargin 13.
The win was the third in a row for the 24-7 Indians who now move on the the Tolono (Unity) Sectional.
They will face Warrensburg (W-Latham) Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the second semi-final
The tournaments begins Tuesday when Teutopolis meets Monticello.
