The season will continue for the Parkview 8th grade basketball Braves.
They beat Newton (Jasper County) 50-37 in the opening round of the Class 8-3A Regional tournament at Teutopolis Saturday.
Matthew Ramirez led the scoring with 17 points and Avery Mullins added 13 in the win.
Marshall eliminated the Red Hill 8th grade Salukis 43-22 and Robinson (Nuttall) knocked off Toledo Cumberland 50-23 in other action Saturday.
The Braves will play host Teutopolis in the semi-finals Tuesday at 6 p.m. and Robinson meets Marshall at 7:30 p.m.
The winners play Thursday at 6 p.m. for the championship.
