
Nadea (Dea)Yoho Weger, age 78, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, passed away in Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana, Thursday, May 1, 2025, after a lengthy illness.
Nadea (Dea)Yoho Weger, age 78, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, passed away in Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana, Thursday, May 1, 2025, after a lengthy illness. She was the daughter of Ray and Patty (Berry) Yoho of Lawrenceville, formerly of Birds.
Dea was born March 18, 1947. She graduated from Birds Grade School and Lawrenceville Township High School. She was a childcare provider in her home for over 60 children during a twelve-year period. She was a La Leche League leader for ten years. She served as a Lawrence County election judge for 25 years. She was employed at the Aerobic Institute of Medicine for three years. She graduated from Wabash Valley College in Mt. Carmel with an Associate Degree in Nursing in 1998 at the age of 51. She worked at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney in pediatrics and at the Southwest Indiana Regional Youth Village in Vincennes. Dea was a member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church. She was a doggie lover and spent her entire life in the company of furry friends. Her hobbies included sewing, making quilts, and rooting for the Illinois Fighting Illini.
She is survived by her three children, Shelley Weger (Dave) of Evansville, Jody Andriano (David) of Bourbonnais, Illinois, and Josh Weger (Karolina) of Bolingbrook, Illinois; her sister, Janet Thomas of Lawrenceville; her four grandchildren, Evan Ziebell, Jacob Ziebell, Riley Andriano, and Cami Andriano.
Memorial services will be Tuesday, May 13, 2025, from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home. Service will include visitation and a program at 5:30. Following the service, there will be a fellowship meal at St. Lawrence Church parish center in Lawrenceville.
There will be no burial. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Dea’s memory to Lawrence County Humane Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
