A Plymouth man was arrested for public intoxication by drugs early Monday morning after being in the restroom of Red-D-Mart for over an hour.
Just after 2 a.m. Officer Witkowski with the Plymouth Police Department was dispatched to Red-D-Mart for an unresponsive person in the bathroom. When the officer arrived, he found the bathroom door locked, and there was no response from inside.
City officers forced their way into the restroom and found 65-year-old Victor Yakas of the 900 block of North Plum Street standing in the corner. He showed signs of impairment and openly admitted to being under the influence of a narcotic.
Victor Yakas was arrested and booked into the Marshall County Jail for public intoxication by drugs and held on a $250 cash bond.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings, entitled to be represented by counsel, and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
