This past week, LaPorte Construction completed all the sidewalk and bridge railing work for the Randolph Street Bridge Replacement Project. They also smoothed all the concrete for the rail and piers and completed all concrete work.
ABC Grooving was in and has grooved the bridge deck. Michiana Contracting has placed the lighting handholes and most of the cable duct.
Last week, the park department reset its bricks in the new walk.
Toward the end of this week, Michiana Contracting may be on site to continue with the lighting work. They still need to finish the cable duct, foundations, service point, and set the poles and lights.
E&B Paving is expected to pave the surface around October 7th. Once the lighting project is complete, Slussers Green Thumb will be in to complete the seeding, and once the pavement is done, then striping can be done.
LaPorte Construction will not be on site this week because any remaining work cannot be completed until the subcontract work is finished.
LaPorte Construction estimates they are 86% complete with the project.
