Marshall County has a new planning director.
Former planner Ty Adley resigned from his position as Marshall County's plan director at the end of November. The Plan Commission hired Lydia Dutton in January. She was only in place for about a month before leaving the planning position. Since then, the County Plan Commission has been accepting resumes and interviewing candidates.
Members unanimously voted to offer Nicholas Witwer the position during Thursday night's regular meeting. His first day of work was scheduled for Monday, April 28th.
Witwer lives in Bremen and received his Urban Planning degree from Ball State University.
Commissioner Stan Klotz told GIANT fm WTCA that Witwer interned for Troy Keifer during college in the Marshall County Plan Department several years ago. Klotz said he also studied architectural engineering at IUPUI.
Nick Witwer is a citizen member of the Bremen Plan Commission and BZA.
