Cultivating Clarity: Understanding Farm Taxes is an upcoming virtual workshop series to teach the basics of tax planning for agricultural operations.
This two-part Extension workshop is designed to help farmers and farmland owners gain a clearer understanding of tax planning essentials. This series will be held from 7:00 to 8:30 pm Eastern time on Dec. 1 and Dec. 8.
Whether you're new to farm taxes or looking to sharpen your approach, this workshop will provide valuable insights to help you make informed financial decisions. A comprehensive range of tax topics relevant to agricultural producers will be covered, including an introduction to income taxes, the differences between cash and accrual accounting, utilizing a Schedule F., practical tax strategies tailored to agricultural operations, and more.
There is a $20 fee to register, which is required by Nov. 30. Individuals can register online at <https://tinyurl.com/3u2kncn6>. Participants are encouraged to attend each workshop.
